Before I begin today’s deluge of tech updates, just let me say that it feels really great to be back. The large gap in the interim has been due to a gosh darned infection in my throat that kept temperature a steady 100ºC. Well, at least now I have something to tell people who I am not consistent! Anyhoo, now I am back and champing at the bits to go. So lets begin!
Steve Jobs has made the headlines again but this time is a more indirect manner. You see, if you remembered correctly, we had reported about an iTunes contest that was going on at Apple. It was about celebrating the 10 billionth iTunes song download and the 10 billionth downloader getting a whopping $10,000 iTunes gift card. Well, that has happened and the winner a 70 year old called Louie Sulcer, who was just buying some good ol’ country music.

Okay, so this is not another story about how great the iPad is (or is not, whatever). This is a video made bya guy called Neil Curtis who had way too much time in his hands one day recently. To take out only the adjectives in the iPad keynote, such an important announcement, and to list them off might sound like a fun exercise. He could’ve blogged about the list but they he would not have made this viral video that I am about to show you right now.
Yes, this is a video that edits the entire keynote video to include only the adjectives used during the keynote in to a three minute footage. I suppose the point is to show us exactly how the presenters tried to brainwash the audience. The result is of course not very sober and it does induce a snigger or two. But the fact that Gizmodo is plugging this shows that Neil is currently congratulating himself for coming up with the next internet meme? Only for peopel with a lot of patience, powerful machines and a thing for the parts of speech.
So enjoy the video which shall be available to you as soon as you jump over to the other side. It is fun, I assure you.
BTW, the iPad is already available as a torrent. Don’t ask me how I found it. I have a very slow internet connection. Continue reading “Some People Have Way Too Much Time [Steve Jobs iPad Keynote In Adjectives]” »

Saturday is the day when I treat you to the latest in Apple. Apple – the company that gave us the iPod, the iTunes Store and the iPhone. Not to mention a whole line of great computers the fondly call Macs. Did you know that Apple practically invented the portable computer line?
We have made a whole week without a tablet rumor. I guess we will hear less of the tablet around holiday times. Buyers should not be distracted during buying.
Get to the other side to get your piece of the Saturday Apple Pie.

Another week gone by and Apple has been in the news as usual. If you thought you were going to make a full week without tablet rumors, you have already been proven wrong. Also, this week both the iPhone and its creator Steve Jobs have proven that people really like them by being voted to the top of two important lists. In the mean time, we have a new iPhone OS upgrade and a newly upgraded MobileMe, Apple’s cloud service.
Apple also made the news for sucking out more or less all the flash chips out of the market. Read all about it on the other side.
