They wanted to be the first out the gate and if the reports are true, they are actually going to make it. Ever since the first iPhone was launched and the AT&T exclusivity deal was struck in the US in 2007, people have wanted to know the details of this confidential contract. As it turns out, the secret is out and the duration seems to be an astounding five years. This claim is supported by old court documents related with the contract. But if that is true, then all the rumors about the Verizon CDMA iPhone coming this fall must be false. And there’s another bind to this — Apple seems to have submitted a brief in 2008 that cites an USA Today article from March 23 2008 which also says that Apple has a 5-year contract.

The HP Slate is still in the making, yes. But it looks like one of the development units made it out in to the outside world somehow and landed up with Mexican blog connecti.ca. The HP Slate has already started appearing in Promos and they show off the USB ports and the SD card slot along with the Flash capability. And the latest one builds up the hype showing iTunes. Yes, we all know what game’s going on here. But it seems like the people who got some hands on time weren’t really all that thrilled when they walked away from it.

Here’s a video that shows an iPhone like bezel and display and claims those to be of the next iPhone. So according to the video,  it will have HD display and front-facing camera. At least the little hole beside the earpiece slit on the bezel suggests that a small sensor will be placed there and it might as well be a camera sensor because that is the best position for a camera to be in both portrait and landscape modes.

Well, well, well. What do we have here? If it isn’t a mention of a Zune HD 64 on the official website. This has to be a mistake of some kind but since it is on the official page (or was, at least), this has to be have some kind of truth behind. It is not impossible that Microsoft is planning to launch a new 64GB of the Zune HD. It has already been a while since the Zune HD was launched and now, before it gets an upgrade, it is the perfect time to add a little bit extra to the line up to keep the interest going.

No, you cannot have anything else covered whilst the iPad remains out of the public’s reach. The news pipes are jammed with iPad stories and you know you want to know. So here’s more iPad news for your thirsty soul. We already knew that Best Buy made into the elite list of non-Apple retailers who would be carrying the iPad. But they were supposed to start selling the iPad on a later date. But now it seems like their schedule is at tandem with Apple and they will make the long elusive iPad available from April 3rd onwards. Looks like Saturday cannot early enough.
