Motorola Droid X has been on the radar for tech industry sky watchers for a long time now. It has been a secret so badly kept that we actually knew everything about it way before it was released. We even had hands-on videos of it before it became officially available for such things. Nevertheless, it is finally official and is here for everyone to bask in its newfound speed and extra-large display size. Not to mention quite a few other great features. Motorola seems to be on the right track with the whole Droid series, even though the ‘Droid Does’ campaign is getting a bit tired. Some campaigns are just not meant to run for three successive generations of a product. So excluding that, I’d say the new Droid is going to be a tough player in the higher echelons of the smartphone market.

Viliv has been one of those companies who have been consistently bringing out tablet devices. Sadly, they have also been a company who have been consistently bringing out mostly mediocre tablet devices to the market. They have been pretty dedicated to the cause since much before this whole tablet craze hit but their products have failed to inspire much excitement in consumers. But just like with smartphone makers, that is set to change now that they are using Android. And the Viliv X10 might be their best work so far.

There’s something to be said about the tablets this year at Computex — they are everywhere. Computex 2010, like most other such events this year, is over run with manufacturers toting their forays in to the world of flat surfaces and touchscreen UI’s. Anadem is one such company and they have a Windows 7 tablet that is mostly like what we have already seen but with one extra trick up its sleeve.

And the flavor of the year this time is of course budget products. Thankfully that is not true for the entire world. In fact, the east doing pretty well for itself, as is evident from all the products coming out of there. Get to the other side for the beastly new Toshiba Qosmio G60, a $400 notebook (NOT netbook) from Compaq and more.

Sony is one of those companies that give a lot of attention to the appearance and the details of their laptops. Apple of course leads the industry in this (read Jobs is) but Sony is a good second in the design aspect. From their Vaio series of high-end laptops comes the well-designed and good looking Sony Vaio VGN-NW125J/T.
This laptop is equipped to handle HD content with a 16:9 screen and a 15-inch screen. Sony quality means that the experience is quite good in these regards and the price is also right for the experience that you get. At $800, Sony is probably coming down from the expensive pedestal that Vaios are usually placed on. I mean for a Vaio this size this is downright affordable. The software bundle that comes along with the laptop is also great.
There are some shortcomings as well though. Even through it is light, it has a short battery life. The size might also be a problem for some people. Want to find out how? Read on dear reader.
