Look what we have here! A slide that seems to be from some internal meeting at T-Mobile showing off what is essentially the carrier’s internal roadmap of what handsets they will offer through the first quarter of 2010. Do you notice something?
Yeah, me too. It’s a really boringly done slide. Someone should teach them about putting some excitement into PowerPoint presentations. However, the content of the slide kinda makes up for its drab nature. I seem to spy three really interesting phones that are coming up next month.

You might not have noticed this yet but we have become extremely dependant on our mobile phones. This is especially true for those who use modern smartphones. Our always-connected lives would become highly disconnected if we were forced to live without these devices for a single day.
Our dependence comes through very clearly when we are trying to buy a new phone. Suddenly, all our daily needs and requirements come into play and we are left puzzled at the onslaught of features. This scenario is further complicated by the fact that most companies have product release cycles that are between 10 months to a year.
The companies cannot be stopped from bringing out the latest gear all throughout the year but we can help you catch up on the latest phone news. And so we do, every Thursday. Get over to the other side for this week’s digest.

After weeks of speculations regarding its release date sources say that the newest Windows mobile 6.5 phone is all set to release on the 19th of this month. Although the release date has not been confirmed as of yet from the company itself still certain reliable sources have come up with the probable release date of the latest phone from HTC. Hereby we thought of giving the readers an insight of the phone which has already created a lot of buzz in the tech world.
The initial feed backs that we are getting from various sources shapes up the phone to be really an impressive one. There was a time, not too long ago, when smartphones meant bulky phones with QWERTY keypads, clumsy UI, limited features and sky-high price tags. Not much has changed on the price tag side but the bulk is considerably lower now and the various UIs on the market are going from great to greater. Plus the features have pretty much hit the other side of limited in this category. So I thought it right to start a weekly section that cuts through all the noise and brings you the main stories that you need to hear.

HTC is really stepping it up these days. After several long weeks of speculations, rumors, spy shots and general gossip, the company has finally made the HTC Leo official. Only, it is not called the Leo, it is called the HD2. The HD2 is a large phone and I rather like it for that. This actually more MID and less smarthphone once you take a close look at it.
But there is this one thing that everyone is really ga-ga over — a 4.3inch capacitive touchscreen. I have been watching the hands on videos (find one on the other side) and it looks mighty decent. The responsiveness is quite good with 9 out of 10 touches doing what the user intended to do. That 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor sure is working its charms on the phone.
And just as you thought you would settle down and read all about the Leo, there is a new animal on the block and it’s a fantastic beast this time round. I am talking about the rumored Dragon, another device that looks like it will be powered by the Snapdragon. Continue to the other side for details.
