With CEATEC underway and more Asian companies bringing out netbooks, the action in the netbook segment has gone east for the moment. Sure things are trickling down to the West after the Asian markets have had their fill but if you want to see netbooks that will never see the other side of the GMT, you have to head east.
Having exhausted all possible combinations of Intel Atom and the usual features found in netbooks, the companies are now keen on experimenting with things like in-built 3G, GPS, etc. Take the Nokia Booklet 3G as an example or look at what Kohjinsha is doing.
