It’s premium aluminum unibody build, the rich AMOLED display, the premium finish — everything makes you want it, bad. This is just something that is waiting to happen. I mean take a look around you — everything is about convergence these days. It’s about fitting in as much as possible into something as small as possible. True that that approach hasn’t worked too well for companies and manufacturers in the past but now technology has finally started catching up to the ideas that designers have had for a long time. This is why it can be said with a fair amount of certainty that the future of this world’s tech is going to be about that one gadget that does it all for you. Forget about carrying all those little things and one-trick wonders. You are about to step into the future and there will be just one piece of über gizmo that you are going to need.

…but maybe not much else. This is the phone that got this month’s cnet Editor’s Choice Award because it has features that are better than the other phones in its standard. The main thing here is the fact it has an AMOLED screen that makes for absolute eye-candy display quality. It has a slide-out QWERTY keypad – a form factor that is becoming increasingly famous amongst the messaging phones.
Touchscreens from Samsung have never been anything special, but it seems like the Rogue might win you over with its above average feature set. Get to the other side for the whole thing.

Samsung has its eyes set on the number one mobile handset manufacturer spot. It has been pumping out handsets by the dozen (almost) recently in its bid to get ahead in that race. While it certainly has been gaining more popularity in recent times, it certainly has a long way to go. With the likes of the iPhone 3GS, the HTC Touch Pro2 and the Palm Pre, it is not going to reach the top spot any time soon. Not to mention the slowly emerging Android phones that are really making their presence felt.
Samsung’s latest attempt is the i8910 Omnia HD phone that has a lot of things going for it. It is a rather large phone. I mean it is positively huge when compared to other phones like it. But is also a phone that packs a lot of punch when it comes to media capabilities. You don’t have to take my word for it really, just look at the AMOLED screen and the HD camera that it comes with. Yes, that is an AMOLED screen. So should you expect all the great things you that you have heard about AMOLED? Continue to the other side to find out.
