Tangent has a new all-in-one called VITA 2000 that might be just what you have been looking for. It is a 20.1 inch model with enough power to drive all your basic requirements, including some 3D gaming powered by the NVIDIA ION and enough storage and memory to last you for quite some time to come. Encased in a nice housing, this may be just the thing for your den or office.

This is an AIO that is meant for general purpose usage. It is powered by Intel Pentium Dual-Core processors and and should be able to handle all your daily tasks quite well with elegant multi-tasking performance. Of course, if you have a habit of opening multiple browser windows with scores of tabs in each one of them (like me), you will only have your surfing habits to blame for a machine slow down. But I digress. This machine should chug along nicely through surfing, emailing and music playing. Office programs never really needed all that power, so it is superfluous to say that you can easily have it in your office.

With a clear housing framing it and forming the base of it, this will be a really elegant machine to have on your desk. This will especially help if you are thinking of installing it in a place where you have to meet a lot of people or at a shop, where things have to look nice to the eye. As with most all-in-one rigs, the compactness of the set up gives you that uncluttered look that is so rare on your work desk. Another good thing is that the base of the thing is detachable and the back is compatible with VESA. So you can easily mount it on a wall with a VESA adapter and be done with it. In fact, this could also be put inside your kitchen. Just remember to wipe your hands.

The VITA 2000, being an AIO, is not going to let you upgrade it or tweak it later on. But Tangent does allow you some customizability before you purchase it. So you can choose between a T4300 and a T4500 processor, have up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM and up to 2TB of HDD storage in the form of 3.5″ SATA HDD’s.

Behind the VITA 2000 you will find 6 USB ports, 1 eSATA, 1 VGA, 1 RJ45, 1 HDMI and 1 SPDIF. There’s also a 4-in-1 card reader and a 1.3MP webcam. There are two integrated speakers (if you don’t have your own pair already) rated at 3W each. There is an integrated slim type DVD RW drive and wireless connectivity — thus taking care of your every need.

As you can understand, this is a very well done up model and so the price is also a bit on the expensive side. The VITA 2000 starts at $1,695 but at the moment you will have to ask for a quotation from Tangent if you want to buy it.

That’s right folks, we have an all-in-one PC here that really makes it tempting to spend that extra $650 that you have been stashing away for a rainy gadgety day. This one is a very capable all-in-one desktop PC that also has a touchscreen. It lets you exploit all the touchy goodness that Windows 7 has to offer.

This is the new C315 all-in-one desktop from Lenovo that they have release along with their two new G-series notebooks. All three models are powered by AMD chips and you are likely to get options when making your purchase. The C315 is powered by an AMD Ahtlon CPU (as opposed to Turion II on the notebooks) and comes with 4GB of RAM. Graphics is handled by ATI Radeon and is probably integrated, just like on the notebooks.

If you think that those specs are not half bad for that kind of a price, I fully agree with you. The touchscreen would completely seal the deal for me if I was in the market for something like this. Of course, if I was in the market for something like this, I would have to wait a bit before making a purchase because this is supposed to arrive with the new notebook models in April. At least the wait would not be a long one.

Lenovo is always a good company to buy from because they are always throwing in extra goodies. With the C315 you will get special touch software for your video, photo, etc.
