Sick of tablet news already? Well, you need harden up because the world is currently in the mood for them and Apple is not going to be spared its fair share in the blame. A pretty hefty share at that.

Whilst you were drooling/hating/scratching your head at the iPad, there was a new company that was getting ready to announce its own tablets. This is back where Apple gets its stuff made — China and the company hails from Nanjing. It is called Motom and it currently seems to have 3 separate tablet devices in offer.

The tablet that it is mainly talking about is called the M7 and it is essentially an MID/UMPC, given the fact that it is running Windows XP on an Intel Atom processor. The 1.1Ghz Z510 to be precise. You know what the means on a tablet right? You can kiss long battery life (a tearful) goodbye and say hello to a 2-3 hours replacement. The 10 hours on the iPad starts looking really out of this world right about now.

The M7 also has 3G, WiFi , USB ports, HDMI out, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 32GB SSD, GPS and also a webcam. The screen is 7inch and has a WVGA resolution. Battery life has been conspicuously left out of the spec list, of course.

There are two other models on offer — the I7 and the M5. The M5 is just the smaller version of the M7 but the I7 looks like the M7 with a modified design and some extra features (and probably a custom UI). It also has a built-in kickstand. Nothing on availability right now.
