Well, here’s another example of bad controlled leaks/bad control of accidental leaks. There’s a new Studio series laptop starring right beside the Studio 1749 Touch on Dell’s own online catalogue. So this isn’t an accidental leak by a partner either, this is Dell itself. There are no mentions of this new model anywhere else, so it has to be treated as an accident.

The new model is called Studio 1558 Touch and it follows after the Studio 1749 Touch it seems. From the name and the listing it is clear that this will also be a touchscreen enabled Studio series laptop and that that it will be powered by a Core i5 processor. The starting price is $999 and it will be running Windows 7 Home Premium with 320GB HDD storage.

I really can’t say how good or bad a deal that is without the rest of the specs, which should come along any time now actually. If something like this is ready, the laptop must be scheduled for launch really soon.
